Company Overview:
The Carlsbad Village Art Academy aims to offer comprehensive programming for young and old, advanced and beginning artists. The CVAA will focus on a number of traditional methods and practices in fine art. CVAA aims to reach an increasingly broader audience and expand Patron/Artist Membership by offering a wide variety of opportunities for involvement in the art world.
The CVAA facility will house rotating regional and national art shows. Our prime placement in a growing art community will be vital to the ?
Youth Outreach
Mission:The Carlsbad Village Art Academy, a non-profit organization located in Carlsbad, California, is dedicated to artistic enrichment and exists to develop the capabilities of artists and aspiring artists from throughout the art community by teaching the fundamentals of representational art.Products:Private studios- Closed-door, private studios available for lease. Pending the site availability, we propose units of equal square footage for a competitive lease rate. Each unit will lease for a monthly fee between $300-$500/mo.
Lockers- lockable storage for artist members. This level membership will allow artists to store supplies on site and use the open classroom space when it is not in session.
Closed-door classroom- A large classroom will offer a privacy option for nude figure modeling, classes without foot traffic disruption, or meetings.
Open classroom space- A large open space will be available for lessons, art shows and member artists to use outside of scheduled class time
Classes ?
All classes will run on a eight week schedule.
Adult classes are offered in 3 hour blocks.
Youth classes are offered in 1 ½ hour blocks.

The CVAA will offer a variety of youth outreach opportunities. Such opportunities include, but are not limited to: free admission to CVAA offered classes, internships within the CVAA administration and management staff, regional internship/professional practices placement, and coordination with local high school students for extra credit or community service needs.
Shows- Rotating regional and member shows will be scheduled through-out the year. Each show is proposed to run 45 days.
- Plein Air show scheduled for September 2011.
- Shows may be set around a specific theme for continuity.
Membership Opportunities:
Studio Membership-monthly membership, Studio Members will have access to classrooms to work in when classes are not in session and will recieve a locker for their stuff-space will be limited
Artist/Patron Membership-annual membership
All members will recieve a discount on classes and workshops
